Since most major events in one’s life are planned, the pre-planning of a funeral is no different. It gives your family a gift in removing the added pressure of making decisions and wondering if they are choosing how you would have wanted your life remembered. It gives another gift of being able to focus on beginning to heal from their loss and brings comfort to them through the ability to know exactly what you desired through your careful and thoughtful decision making.

 

We are dedicated to caring for the families in our community and have done so for over 70 years. We have three licensed, experienced and trusted Funeral Directors to meet the needs of the families we serve. Two of our Funeral Directors are also Pennsylvania licensed insurance agents and Independent Agents who represent Homesteaders Life Company, a company solely devoted to funeral pre-planning.

 

There is no cost obligation for pre-planning your choices and keeping them on file at our funeral home. If pre-payment is desired or necessary, we arrange for the funds covering your funeral to be administered by Homesteaders Life Company. A major advantage to pre-planning is the pricing guarantee. You are guaranteed tomorrow’s products and services at today’s costs. You have peace of mind in knowing that the primary funeral costs our funeral home can control will be covered.

 

While we are unable to predict the future costs imposed by others such as flowers, newspaper notices, church or clergy honorariums to name a few, we do offer a separate policy that can be purchased at today’s costs to help offset those categories in the event of a possible increase. In the event a decision is made to leave the area and another funeral home is chosen to carry out your wishes the policy is transferable to the funeral home of your choice

 

We try our best to accommodate your choice of a meeting place and remote pre-planning is also available.
